Biography

Over the last decade, Eyal Talmudi, Assaf Talmudi and Roy Chen’s creative journey is characterized by a combination between Improvisation, Punk, Jewish folklore, Prog rock and Jazz, aiming at artistic and political rebellion, or as the band likes to call it : Freak Jazz. TAKE THE VODKA ELEVATOR will aspire to tell a story that is funny and horrendous, of ancient wisdom and modern stupidity, with guest appearances of American and Polish musical talents and key musicians of the global Jewish folklore music scene. At the heart of the album lays a folklore narrated by 3 wandering musicians ; Maximum Max, Crack Mac and MethHead Ted, driving through the wastelands of Eastern Europe whilst one night in Budowice, a renown heavyweight river surfer called Shlomit, hitchhiked with them and fell in love with their journey, as she was an aspiring musician herself. After some time of tramping with the trio, she found her demise surfing the icy river of the notorious visela intersection on the outskirts of beloved Cracow. Her grieving family in Ramat hasharon, Israel, wasn't pleased From the answers they got from the apathetic polish missing persons department, and turned to Dubi, a failing retired mossad agent who spends his days trying to pay back old gambling debts, in order to locate and bring back Shlomit’s body back home to a proper Jewish burial. In the midst of a series of investigations, between a blood sausage and 5 shots of zubrowka, Dubi magically meets The son of the Rabbi.
