il Patrino and Ainigma are Gang Run, the duo from Patras, Greece that takes hip-hop seriously. With a strong influence from the West Coast of the USA but also with a lyrical aroma from Queens, NY, the duo testifies its truth using a straightforward word on every well-crafted track. Their style is sometimes old school and others new school, sometimes dark and others uplifting but it always remains focused on the unfiltered self-expression of the two lyricists/performers. They started their joint music journey in 2011. Their plan was to create an artistic collective, however the Achaean capital did not provide fertile ground for the creation of an active community. Eventually they chose to move on on their own, and in 2015 they released an LP entitled "Hmera 8", in 2018 they released the "Kitrina Fota" EP, in 2020 they released the collaborative EP entitled "Vitraux" with To Skathari and in 2021 il Patrino released his debut solo self-titled LP. In 2018 they also started collaborating with Mixdown Studio and JK One, while they have 9 video clips and dozens of live appearances. With themes that focus on personal experience, socio-political reality and the battle element of hip hop culture, il Patrino and Ainigma rap to give an artistic expression and passage to their unique perspective, their creative agony, their very truth.
