Bio The band STRVCK derives its name from a nearly fatal accident where singer Chelsea Seth Woodward was struck by a bolt of lightning while inserting a key into the driver-side door of his vehicle. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital, suffering a large cut on the back of his head, a concussion, and some short term memory loss. Miraculously he emerged from the event with no long term injuries. In early 2020, Chelsea and fellow Austin, TX musician, Drew Walker joined forces, creating what is now the songwriting/ performing duo STRVCK. Together with help from executive producer (and sometimes co-writer) Max Frost, they created their debut Album, “Day One.” The first single of which entitled, “Dangerous,” was released July 2nd, 2021. Inspired by the twisted satisfaction we sometimes get from piling on to the already painful and present traumas in our lives, “Dangerous,” is a song about an obsessive need to push ones boundaries. Never being satisfied until you are riding the razors edge. Unconcerned with what outcomes your actions may create. It touches on addiction to adrenaline, love, and drugs. The song is about seeking control and losing it. The vibe is dark, driving, moody, and anthemic. The delivery is an indie/pop/rock tune with guitar, bass, live drums, synths and soaring vocals. The band has begun to perform these songs live around Austin, TX and will be embarking on several more US tour dates in late 2021, through 2022.
