Casey Spooner is a multi-talented artist, musician, and performer known for his innovative work and daring creativity. He studied painting, performance art, and video at the Art Institute of Chicago before becoming involved with Doorika, an experimental theater company based in Chicago and New York City, where he wrote and produced original theatrical performances for nine years. Spooner is one of the masterminds behind Fischerspooner, the electronic music project that he co-founded and led to critical acclaim. He has collaborated with numerous artists including David Byrne, Susan Sontag, Michael Stipe, Marina Abramovic, Madonna, and Caroline Polachek. Spooner's influence as an electronic pioneer and queer icon has pushed beyond the limits of mainstream pop and hijacked it as a vehicle for liberating the cis-male form. He most recently executive produced and starred in a documentary called "Fashion Babylon," which aired on France2. Spooner continues to blaze new trails in music, art, entertainment, and the spectacularity of how they merge and collide, celebrated for his daring and provocative artistry both on and off stage.
