Jeffrey Schofield II, known professionally as JayScho, is an American rapper, singer songwriter, and producer. Born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL, parents names Yolanda and Jeffrey Schofield Sr. JayScho was brought up in the church and watched his mother sing every week and his father engineered the sound. Growing up, JayScho was heavy into sports, specifically basketball and football. He played running back in High School alongside Miami Dolphins current running back Raheem Mostert. Playing High School football led JayScho to explore his rapping talents because the football team used to freestyle on the bus to the. Games and in the locker room. After graduating high school in 2011, JayScho played a year of football at a Division 3 college named Hiram College in Ohio. JayScho began recording music after an ex football teammate contacted him about their being a studio locally. He booked a session for the next day and that’s when it began. JayScho released his first song titled “Swear to God” in 2016. He then topped it with his second single “Yous A Lie” which cemented him as a problem on the Volusia County rap scene. Amongst the midst of him growing local traction, on February 10th, 2017 JaySchos’ cousin passed away which triggered him to dedicate his next song to his late cousin, titled “nuktown”.
