Dirt began from a collection of studio players who were working on other projects together. They began writing material for the Dirt project in 2019. Due to the coronavirus outbreak in early 2020, the project was put on hold for several months. 
 Ron Brown and Don Harrison have been writing together for years. With the addition of Mike Kucinic’s writing skills the project began to come alive. Also with the aid of Drew Brown on the song “Dirt”, and the help of Veronica Brown on the song “Bottle”, the stage was set for the release of “Are Your Hands Clean?” EP, which came in August of 2020. Following the release of their debut EP, Dirt is back recording for their follow-up record.
