yurei is a 22-year-old American producer, multi-instrumental and DJ based in Fukuoka and Tokyo Japan. His music career and reputation were launched to greater heights following the release of his first EP, Now, I Am Become Death, which was supported by reputable blogs and collectives like Next HQ, Acid Stag, Top Cats, and much more. yurei has a distinct style which combines live instrument usage (saxophone, piano and guitar) and calls influence from a variety of sources including heavy metal and bebop jazz. He has been featured on multiple radio stations and shows including soulection, Stay Cool Radio, Berlin FM, and has done live shows for the Japan’s notable block.fm. On top of consistent releases, his live show presence is unmistakable. Having played shows all around Japan, at notable venues including Vision, Circus Tokyo, Club Cats, and The Trump Room, he is embarking on a South Asia tour to expand his reach and eventually worldwide.
