Born in the Paris suburbs, Ahashe is the child of Tamil parents from Sri Lanka, part of the Tamil diaspora. From a young age, he was immersed in Tamil culture, especially Kollywood dance, which he began practicing at 6. At 12, his mother enrolled him in Karnadaga Sangitham, a form of traditional Tamil music. This sparked his interest in Tamil music, and by age 13, he was composing his own songs, taking piano lessons to gain independence in his music creation. After years of dedication, Ahashe released his debut single "Kanavula," which became a hit in the Tamil independent music scene. This marked the beginning of a promising career. He followed up with several projects, culminating in the release of his album "Ondraai" in 2023. That year was pivotal, as Ahashe opened for the renowned composer Yuvan Shankar Raja at the U Arena, one of Europe’s largest venues, and for the famous musician Anirudh Ravichander in Germany. Now, Ahashe continues to evolve as an artist, working on expanding his reach within both the Tamil and international music scenes. His journey reflects a deep connection to his roots while striving to make a global impact.
