Biography

Soul Avon (CJ Nelson) is an American recording artist from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Starting at age 4 with drum lessons and later mastering guitar and bass, CJ began producing full songs on GarageBand by 2011, releasing them on SoundCloud as “Charge! Charge!” His early work included the EP “I’m just sayin” and the album “Good for your soul!” In 2014, CJ joined his first band, “Shadows of Allowance,” as a vocalist and guitarist, producing their album “Failures and Flatlines.” Simultaneously, he released solo meme rap songs as “Lil Planky.” By 2018, he adopted the name “CJ Suprxme,” and his 2019 debut mixtape “Justice4Bangz” featured the single “Blackwings (feat. JXS),” gaining 14,000 streams in its first month. His debut studio album “Soul Eater” followed, with singles like “Spiritless,” “Miami,” and “Dark Angel” receiving radio airplay. During the pandemic, CJ signed with South Florida artist Nyora Spouse, drawing attention from ELEVATOR Magazine, SoundCloud, and Internet Money. In 2022, he released the “DIGITALFASHION” tapes and toured with acts like 904Matcha and Gus the Savage. His single “3X0T1C” became a breakout hit with half a million streams. Other notable tracks included “Marcelines Diary XOXO,” “Motley Crew,” “EVOLVE,” and “Life of Soul.” After a year-long hiatus, CJ rebranded to “Soul Avon,” continuing to evolve his sound and influence in the music industry.
