Blvck Rose is a Cameroonian-American record producer from Silver Spring, Maryland. The eclectic producer first began producing music as a sophomore in high school, where he began to understand the intricacies and artistry of beats and production. The way music was constructed always intrigued him, with Kanye West , The Neptunes , Just Blaze and Timbaland serving as the spark that really made him want to craft music. Blvck Rose found himself entranced with the soul samples used by West and Just Blaze, but also fell in love with the unique rhythms and tempos used by The Neptunes and Timbaland. He has worked with an array of local DMV artists such as Funsho (S.H.E.), Eyedeal Bayano (No Longer Boxed In, The Players Curse), Ikey (Green Card) and more, handling most of the production and recording on each of their projects. Growing up in a diverse community in the suburbs of Washington D.C., Blvck Rose was fortunate enough to experience a variety of cultures and music, which has greatly influenced his music and musical taste. He likes to combine genres and mix different sounds from various types of music from Hip Hop to Latin Soul to EDM and Afrobeat. Blvck Rose’s impeccable sound can be heard on his highly-anticipated 2018 debut EP A Half Dozen Roses, which serves as an international love story told over futuristic melodic production.
