Forward thinking musical aspirations with classically inspired twists, Colin has been at the forefront of the Iowa underground movement for well over a decade and has been pushing the scope of the music events and parties that dot the ethanol state’s major cities and underground venues. With a background in punk, metal and all abrasive and different styles of musical expression, his focusses are categorically corrosive in texture and nature. Artful distortion meets sonically pleasing tonalities. Initially beginning his journey in the culture attending various events and underground parties that featured the midwest and beyonds best and brightest, his focus quickly shifted into performances and productions that were outside the norm of the local scopes interests. Defining his music as being a counter culture to the status quo of the current frame of the local scene, he quickly found himself releasing with affluent labels such as Chicago’s Format Recordings, Omen Recordings (LA), Aerotek Recordings (PHX) and more. As time went on, Colin found himself playing a role in local underground collective IowaTechno. The group has played an influential role in keeping the best kept secret of the midwest's underground movement alive for over a decade by focussing on events that are influenced by the styles and dance floors that the various members have found themselves on over the years.
