Maryel Sparks-Cardinal AKA Ember Sparxx is a Cree/Métis music producer and DJ. Hailing from Treaty 6 territories Ember uses her roots as inspiration to her music and artistic expression. Ember has played venues throughout Vancouver and is always a crowd favorite. A multidisciplinary artist by trade with experience as a videographer, filmmaker, photographer, writer and UX designer Maryel uses her various skills and ingenuity to bring a fresh and inventive sound to her music. Although Maryel predominantly creates House music, her DJ mixes and music taste are not limited by genre and she is hoping to continue to branch into creating music in other electronic music genres as her artistic abilities develop.
