This foundation was monumental to her musical journey, and led her to become 1st chair soprano 2 in the prestigious Texas All State Choir in 2006, a testament to her dedication to her craft. Sharlotta’s musical prowess extends beyond vocals; she mastered instruments like the tuba, sousaphone, euphonium, baritone, trombone, and trumpet during her 8 years in various bands while in attendance at CMS/NCHS/TWU. Sharlotta earned acclaim for her role in "Big River," a performance that earned her a coveted Best Supporting Actress nomination for the Betty Buckley Award. She pursued higher education at Texas Wesleyan University on the prestigious President's Honors Scholarship, a testament to her academic excellence. Additionally, her exceptional vocal abilities were acknowledged with a Vocal Performance Scholarship.
