Biography

Born Douglas Hammond in North Philadelphia and raised in Crown Heights Brooklyn, ForeverFresh had his first brush with success not on the stage but the court.  After returning from playing pro ball in Europe, ForeverFresh picked up the mic and pen. He soon introduced a saga of 4 mixtapes called “Grindwork”.  During Grindwork, ForeverFresh pushed out 12 videos, and performed at hundreds of shows from Vegas to Boston to SXSW. He’ shared stages with greats like Millyz, J Stone, Mr. Cheeks, Ces Cru, AZ, Czarface, Slaine, Reef the Lost Cauze, Vado and more.  He published his debut album “Dougie” in 2020.  Vermont Magazine called Fresh, “an effortless rapper” and it’s a solid description for his natural ability to bring experience to life through words and beats.  ForeverFresh pulls a sound together that’s as authentic and hard as it is graceful and relatable. Deeply influenced by 90’s hip-hop, ForeverFresh draws influence from fellow Brooklyn rappers. Vibes of Biggie Smalls New York streets stories and Fabolous’s clever punchlines and creative/effective wordplay, can both be heard in the ForeverFresh sound.  In addition to success as an independent rapper, ForeverFresh is also known to combine talents with Vermont rap crew, The Horsemen.  The Horsemen premiered a widely praised, self-titled album in 2021. Both on and off the stage, ForeverFresh brings the party and at 6’6, the only thing in a room bigger than ForeverFresh is the ability of his music to capture the crowd.
