Considered a leading countertenor of his generation, Nicholas Tamagna has received widespread critical acclaim, making waves on the international stage, after having emerged on the operatic scene in the early 2010s. He has graced the world's stages including The Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House at Covent Garden (Festival), Carnegie Hall, Israeli Opera, Händelfestspiele Halle, Göttingen and Karlsruhe. In the 2023-2024 season, he will make frequent appearances in Germany, Australia, Israel, and the USA (San Francisco Opera). With a specialization in baroque and contemporary opera as well as art song, he captivates audiences with his commanding expressive vocal timbre, impressive power, and awe-inspiring musicianship. Notably, he has collaborated with the esteemed French early music ensemble Le Poème Harmonique, leaving his mark on their recordings. His talent can also be experienced through releases on the renowned Belgian label Outhere and in partnership with ¡Sacabuche! on the esteemed Canadian ATMA Classique label.
