Dj Calypso was born and bred in South Africa, Polokwane in the late 70's. His journey in music started at a young age from middle school where he was inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson, New Edition, Salt & Pepa etc. His love for music cut across all genre from R&B, Hip Hop, House, Dance, Amapiano, Jazz to Pop. He started Djying career in 1998 at Pretoria South Africa. That's where he fell in love with House Music. He is mostly focused on Soulful & Afro House as it is the genre he produced a couple of tracks such as "Patience" featuing Ntsikwane, "Run Away" Featuring Zanele, "Without You" Featuring Moss Milla etc. His latest offering was a mapiano song called "Crushing On You" with a fusion of soulful house collaborating with a young producer by the name of Papekeys and featuring Finah on the vocals, which was released May 2021.
