Moonloops is the mind of 24-year-old singer-songwriter Sarah Dekker. Armed with a beaten-up guitar and an old MacBook she started recording and producing her own songs in her bedroom back in 2020. With almost 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is ready to share her stories with the world. Along with a nationwide tour, she released her first studio album "Little Astronaut, Big Dreams" in January 2024. This album explores themes like home, loneliness, misunderstanding, and love with magical songs that keep haunting you. After the release of her debut album, Dekker started reflecting on the past few years. Back on earth after living with her head in the clouds, a new chapter in her life about personal growth began. The result is a new double single 'Tangled X Deep Enough', all about growth and mental health, that came out July 12th, recorded both in her bedroom and with Tom Broshuis (Mr. Mississippi), resulting in a unique sound combining elements of all of Moonloops’ work so far. 'Tangled X Deep Enough' are the first singles off her new record, set to release this fall. The record shows a more grown up side of Moonloops, where she explores themes like self-sabotage, comparison, and transformation. Both her DIY roots and her big dreams are expressed in this new chapter of her growth as a young adult and musician.
