Originating from the lively local scene surrounding Milwaukee campuses, Dogbad is a rag-tag group of students, film-makers, DIY venue owners, engineers, and chefs who bonded over their love of music and sharing it with their peers. Performing in a wide variety of venues from basements, local bars, music clubs, to live on the airwaves of 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, the band has crafted a sound and stage presence like no other. A typical Dogbad show includes a healthy dose of surf, funk, jazz, synchronized dancing with the audience, and occasional moshing. They have shared the scene with many talented Milwaukee artists and even had the opportunity to open for touring artists including Knox Fortune, Open Mike Eagle, and Yam Haus. After playing in the MKE and Chicago area for almost two years they finally settled down and recorded three singles with producer Kevin Bush from Milwaukee's Immortal Girlfriend. Capturing the live energy while adding that studio polish, the singles reflect a passion for creating for the sake of creating and as an ode to the underground music community that has fueled their art and lives.
