If you know me then you know the amount of pain, loss, hurt, and adversity my family and I have experienced over the last few years. For me, losing my parents at basically the same time was the toughest of those challenges. People told me how strong I was and reminded me of the strength I displayed. I found out that I was a stoic. However, that didn’t change the fact or reality of what I had to deal with. In the process, other than being a father & husband, I no longer knew who I was, what I wanted, or even what I liked. Through it all, I kept pushing! 
 At some point during my grieving, I started writing again. From that point, creating this body of work simply became my therapy. It’s vulnerable, it’s real, and it’s relatable for many. It’s already done what it was supposed to do for me. Hopefully, it can help someone else.
