She came to be known as a singing sensation in 1992, when she stormed the world with Chandralekha in the film Thiruda Thiruda. She’s left an indelible imprint as a singer, song writer, composer. Her powerful voice and unique delivery has won her millions of fans worldwide. .... Annupamaa has won international acclaim when she composed and sung an anthem called “We are South Asia” for the First China South Asia Expo in Kunming, when she was selected for an award from out of 177 entries worldwide. She was the only Indian singer invited by the Singapore government to promote the Anti Drug Concert with International rock groups that came in from all over the world. Her song Yeh Raat in the film AKS was nominated for the Star Screen Awards. She has worked with the best of the best music directors from the Mozart of the South A.R. Rahman to the maestro like Illayaraja to Harris Jayaraj to Ranjit Barot to Anu Malik to Ousephachan to name a few. She has belted out hits in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Chinese, Spanish and even sang a French song in a Malayalam film having around 300 songs to her credit as a singer alone.
