Calina is the alias of Colombian singer, songwriter and vocal producer, Carolina Salinas. In 2017 she released Semicolon, a pop and R&B-driven album talking about mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety. This album was produced by Nicolas "Na'vi"De La Espriella, Latin Grammy and Grammy award winning producer. Taking a hiatus from her solo releases, Calina redirected her talents, contributing as a songwriter and vocal producer for a diverse array of artists and producers (Danna Paola, Aitana, RBD, Carlos Vives, Andres Torres y Mauricio Rengifo, CASTA, Llane , Las Villa, Ventino, Bacilos, Juan Pablo Vega, TIMØ, Santiago Deluchi, Juliana, Henao, Lina Sanabria, etc). This venture expanded her network, eventually leading her to collaborate with Sunamy, a Latin Grammy-winning producer seeking vocalists for his solo DJ project. In 2022, Calina contributed as a vocal producer on Carlos Vives' album "Cumbiana II," earning a nomination for Best Tropical Latin Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards and clinching victory in the same category at the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Simultaneously, she immersed herself in crafting music for prominent TV shows like "Pálpito," "Fake Profile," and "Calle y Poché Sin filtros," along with movies like "Look Both Ways." This positioned Calina's work in three global #1 shows/movies, including a #1 show in Colombia and various Latin American countries.
