Lydia Ford is a pop artist originally from Co. Mayo, in Ireland. At the age of 9, she picked up the guitar, inspired mainly by her adoration of pop-punk star Avril Lavigne. From there, she began writing and developing her own songs in her bedroom. Ford has received national airplay in Ireland and performed at prestigious events like Other Voices and Ireland Music Week. Her talent has also gained recognition from major US sites like Uproxx and Billboard and earned airplay on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. You can find her tracks featured on global Spotify playlists, including New Music Friday UK and New Music Friday Deutschland, as well as on Channel 4's 'Made In Chelsea.' After independently releasing a string of captivating tracks since 2019, Lydia's moment to shine has arrived with the release of her debut album, 'Faking It.' Fittingly, ‘Faking It’ is engaging precisely because it’s a sum of experiences: high and lows, challenges and self-doubts, but with the feelgood conclusion that what you’re looking for isn’t quite as insurmountable as it might initially seem. And as a record that can connect with fans of Maisie Peters, Fickle Friends and Phoebe Bridgers, ‘Faking It’ surely represents the starting point of Lydia Ford’s next journey.
