Get Real is the title and the message of R&B singer Susanne Ørum’s new album, that was released March 2023 on vinyl and CD and on all streaming services. It’s an album with a personal story. Four of her songs has been placed on top 10 on Amazon Hot New Releases and 8 of her songs on top 20. Get Real is an eternal balance between being present in the real world, even when it's cold and heartless, and being in a daydream where creativity opens your heart. This album presents 13 tracks with a unique soul and R&B sound. Every song on this album carries the pain of a woman who lost everything, as well as the triumph of a woman who feels she has won a great war and its many battles along the way. The inspiration comes from her many visits to New York, Philadelphia and Seattle. But a very personal song is chosen as the focus track, “You Tell Me”, a song Susanne wrote to her younger brother, who was going through hard times in life. Susanne’s songs have already attracted interest in the UK from radio hosts and DJs, since performing live at The Luxury Soul Weekender in Blackpool early January 2023. Even though this is a debut album as a solo artist, Susanne Ørum is an experienced singer, previously winning a grammy for “Best New Danish Act” with the successful girl group “Me, She and Her” with the hit “I Count the Minutes” written by Diane Warren.
