Black Shadow steadily built a name and positive reputation in the late 90's. Gaining mileage and aiding the careers of many Caribbean entertainers. From Jamaican dancehall singjays like Mr. Vegas, Lady Saw, and Beenie Man, to international artists like Busta Rhymes, Tego Calderon, Pitbull, Teddybears, and more. “We are the pioneers that bring to every massive, an equal sound for all cultures. That’s what we strive to be." Says Rami, founder of Black Shadow. "We want Soca, Dancehall and EDM to join together so everybody can be in harmony and enjoy the vibe of the music.” Some of their most popular riddims include “Surprise Riddim” and the “Buzz Riddim” on which Jamaica’s Mad Cobra delivered the song “Press Trigger”- a popular hit, remixed into the global hit "Cobrastyle" featured in countless movies such as Employee of The Month and King Kong to name a few. But Black Shadow may be most remembered for its involvement and Grammy receipt for Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock album, on which the single, ‘Gimme The Light’ earned multi-platinum status. The song went on to earn Troyton Rami an ASCAP Rhythm and Soul award for writing and producing. Further to that, the World Music Awards named Black Shadow’s Troyton Rami the 2002 Producer of the Year. In 2017, work done with Barbadian Soca artiste, Rupert Clarke, best known as Rupee, brought additional rewards with ULTRA Records establishing a deal for the single, ‘Tipsy’, which was produced by Troyton Rami and Marc for Black Shadow.<br>
