Jan Bidner och Markus Åberg are the brains and looks of Swedish pop act Ulgebräk. A porta recording experiment that evolved into a band in the early 90:s in the music scene of Gävle. After releasing their debut album “Hö-hö” in -94 the band split up. In 2020 on the 26 Year anniversary of ”Hö-hö” they made their comeback with their second album named “Kombäck”. Jan is a former actor now working mostly in the digitalisation area with UX, Gamification and strategy. Markus is a former sound engineer and producer turned social worker. Jan lives in UMEÅ in the north of Sweden while Markus resides in the southern city of LJUNGBY. Ever since their comeback Ulgebräk has been very productive with ongoing releases of full length albums, EP:s and singles! Always exploring new musical paths! Catch Up! In 2024 they are celbrating the 30 years anniversary of their album Hö-hö by reimagining some of the songs. They are also releasing a tribute album to celebrate the music of Anders F Rönnblom. The album is called ”Sånger i F” and will hit music stores on vinyl on May 24th.
