The definition for Sell the Elephant is anyone actively and enthusiatically playing music with George Mario Angel Quintero, more often referred to as George Angel in this context. While with an earlier group, Underflavour, a sort of pause in activities occurred. During this time Angel began to work intensely with a wide range of musicians during what can only be called a live and recorded music renaissance in the city of Medellin, Colombia. Each of the Sell the Elephant projects showcases a different aspect of that moment and that place, including different personnel (with the exception of Angel) and very different instrumentation, mixing of genres, and attitudes regarding imporvisation and composition.
