Biography

Andi Koyama was raised on punkrock, video games and Cyndi Lauper. His ever evolving vision comes as a unique blend of lofi electronics, songwriter-folk and indie-rock with an unashamed love for 80s and 90s Pop.
To retrace the steps of Andi Koyama, we go back to the alternative-rock-days of the mid 90's: After teaching himself how to play a few chords, the self proclaimed punkrock kid started writing songs - imitating the notorious Tocotronic.
The mid 2000s brought sudden success for his singer-songwriter debut "pay and dice" including shows with acts like Adam Green. According to renowned Indie magazine Spex, 21 year old Koyama was on his way to become "The German Conor Oberst".
Meanwhile, Koyama trained his skills as an instrumentalist and producer while working with other cologne based artists such as Johannes Stankowski the late Kurt Kreikenbom and Komplizen Der Spielregeln.
It was only after a 10 Year hiatus and with the help of US producer Brendan Harney (Wheat) that a now grown up Koyama found his true musical identity in a song driven, imaginative and highly eclectic style of bedroom pop.
