If you are familiar with THE ISLEY BROTHERS, then you know CHRIS JASPER, an integral member of THE ISLEY BROTHERS during the 1970s and 1980s, from the 3+3 (1973) to Between the Sheets (1983) albums, and ISLEY-JASPER-ISLEY (1984-1987). CHRIS was mainly responsible for writing and producing the music during this time. His arrangements and instrumentation as a classically-trained musician have been called the foundation of the legendary “Isley Brothers Sound.” CHRIS JASPER’s music has been covered and sampled by hundreds of new and established recording artists and has been used in movie and television soundtracks, and commercials. CHRIS has earned numerous gold and platinum albums and music industry awards. CHRIS received the BET lifetime achievement award and, in 1992, CHRIS was inducted into the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME. In 2014, he received a GRAMMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. In 2015, CHRIS received the German Record Critics Lifetime Achievement Award ("Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik"). In 2016, CHRIS received the National R&B Society Lifetime Achievement Award and, in 2020, he was awarded the Soultracks Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted into the SONGWRITER'S HALL OF FAME. CHRIS has continued his career as a solo artist/producer, and has released 16 solo albums to date, a mix of soulful R&B ballads and uptempo funk. CHRIS continues to bring the “Isley Brothers Sound” he created to music lovers. Chris and his wife of 38 years, Margie, live in New York.
