Pasya is the Filipino word that means decision or choice one makes after thinking carefully. Pasya celebrates the strength of people standing up to challenges against their rights to bodily autonomy and shows a picture of the current state of abortion in the Philippines. It’s a strong signal as well to other people who have diverse experiences of abortion who are out there suffering and silenced by stigma that they’re not alone. The album also offers them a safe space and representation through song.
