George Moorey is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer with 20+ years experience. He is an advocate of community music and has facilitated all sorts of music projects (from small, personal and unassuming to crazy ambitious and far reaching) in a variety of environments and contexts. He is also one half of the songwriter/producer duo The Powdered Earth with Shane Young. He lives near the city centre of Gloucester in an old crumbly house that is home to a cellar full of musical instruments and recording kit with one fabulous wife, two amazing sons and a really old white fluffy cat. The solo project (which is actually a collaborative work with over 80 different individuals involved) he is most proud of is called Spaces which explores several stories and themes linked to Gloucester. "....in my search for a muse, I have become inspired by the cultural heritage of Gloucester. Architecture, people, stories and events that have shaped and continue to shape my adopted home are now shaping the music I make."
