OIEE’s new album is out and more revealing than ever Two Sides, the Hungarian producer's second LP is here, and the song Marathon has already debuted on BBC Radio One. Since 2019, Bence Kocsis has been showing with his OIEE project that music with a strong character knows no boundaries, especially when catchy, soul-infused hooks slide into the electronic equation. While his previous album, Urban Camouflage found itself in the realm of neo soul and exotic dance licks, Two Sides is already up to speed and in the same direction: supereasygoing house and breakbeat tracks with shimmering synths are striving towards the stratosphere, songs that could easily fit on a vibrant Friday evening warmup playlist between a Bicep banger and a Caribou tune. The title of Two Sides is apt in more ways than one: while Bence himself covers the entire creative process around his music - not only producing, arranging and singing on tracks, but also directing videos and building his own visual world - so you would probably find his name in the Wikipedia article about control freaks, yet he also creates a vibrant soundscape that reminds the listener of the uncontrolled plunge into moments of relaxation. Or a good old cruisin down to the shores. In addition to its Hungarian co-producer WaTa, the album features guest appearances by Sena (Ghana), Chemical Brothers collaborator Steve Dub (UK), WaTa, Ian O’Sullivan (IE), M3nsa (UK/Ghana), badfocus (CZ), Fanni Zahár, Hanna Horváth and Adrián Méhes.
