Eduardo Federico Caces Pérez , Born May 2 , 1967 in Santiago de Chile. 1985 - 1990, Universidad de Chile Conservatory 1988-1991, Studies with Ernesto Holman Electric Bass. 1991-1995, Studies Popular Music Arrangement and Composition in the Escuela Moderna de Musica. Professors Guillermo Rifo, Toly Ramirez amongst other distinguished Chilean musicians. 1995-1999, Professor of Music Theory and Analysis at the Escuela Moderna de Musica. 1999- Becomes the bassist of the Chilean band Lucybell. Formed in 1991, recording with them 9 of their 12 albums in the band’s long trajectory. Touring Latin America, U.S.A, and Europe and also living abroad in the United States (2002-2005) and Mexico (2006-2007). Also participating in different music festivals such as Vive Latino in four opportunities, Rock al Parque in Colombia and Festival de la canción de Vina del Mar (2003, 2005, and 2007). In 2007 he composed and arranged the soundtrack for the feature film Desierto Sur by Chilean director Shawn Garry. It was screened on September 25, 2008 in Chile and in different countries around the world. In 2008 he becomes part of the electronic band Galatea along with Teresita Cabeza and Jorge Gaete, whom also performed in Desierto Sur’s central theme. In 2008 wins at the 20 Festival de Cine de Viña del Mar the award of best music composer for best sound track composition of the feature film Desierto Sur, also winning various awards in festivals through out the world.
