MC Synergy (now based in the Gold Coast Hinterlands) grew out of the Brisbane music scene over the past ten years, developing his skills and settling into his element as a socially conscious, concept-driven emcee. He has released six projects, collaborated with well-known Brisbane artists (such as The Optimen, Pure Product, Butta and Luka Lesson) and has shared the stage with the likes of Total Eclipse, and Dead Prez. In 2016, after years cutting teeth as part of Brisbane crew Tailor Made (and co-founding independent label Rinsed Out Records), Synergy released his debut solo album Waiting For The Collapse. This was followed in 2017 with No Going Back, a six-track EP produced by the Bradford-based producer HashFinger. This UK native combines smooth, atmospheric samples and live instrumentation with rugged percussion, creating the spacious environment in which Synergy thrives as an emcee. In 2020, he co-released the collaborative fusion album Hash Butta Synergy with HashFinger & Brisbane emcee Butta. The forerunning single Gospel Comfort earned a spot on the playlist Beat n' Bars and has since racked up 80k + streams. Synergy's recent focus has his second full-length solo album The Haze Before The Storm – a conceptual follow-up to Waiting For The Collapse – set to drop February 12th, 2022.
