Subhi is a singer-songwriter who combines Hindi and American cultures and experiences to create unique stories that are poetic and contemporary. Her unique storytelling put her on the prestigious Songwriters & Composers Wing of the Grammys (Recording Academy, Chicago Chapter). Subhi’s music is critically acclaimed through features in publications such as Rolling Stone India, American Songwriter, Score Magazine, Times of India & Vh1 India. In January 2023, Subhi opened for Ali Sethi (Pasoori Fame) North American tour in Chicago. Subhi's single ‘In My Way (Remix)’ will be featured on Netflix Series 'Neumatt Season 2'. She is one of the top 24 artists on Nexa Music Season 2 and part of 'Nexa Music Lab', A.R. Rahman's mentorship program. In 2022, she graced the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds India Playlist with her single ‘Water Raft’. Subhi became one of the most sought-out Chicago South Asian artists receiving invitations from and performing for SXSW Music Festival, Kennedy Center, TEDx, Talks At Google and Facebook HQ. ABC Chicago showcased Subhi’s musical journey on their Emmy award-winning show Asian Influences and she is a proud recipient of the 2019 & 2020 Individual Artist Program cultural grant awarded by the City of Chicago. Subhi was nominated as 'Best Asian Entertainer 2019' by The Chicago Music Awards and her debut album ‘Shaitaan Dil’ was co-presented by The Jazz Institute of Chicago.
