Cesare Mecca was born in 1996 and started playing the trumpet at the age of 7, studying by the Filarmonica Bosconerese wind orchestra conducted by M° Pietro Marchetti. At the age of 11 he started attending the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Turin to study classical trumpet under the guidance of M° Paolo Russo and he took his diploma at the age of 18, together with the high school diploma in scientific studies. Meanwhile he started to study jazz trumpet by the Filarmonica Jazz Band Pianezza (Turin) with M° @Sergio Chiricosta and jazz piano with M° Guido Canavese. In October 2017 he took his master degree in classical trumpet by the conservatory of Turin (headmaster M° Marco Zuccarini) under the guidance of M° Roberto Rossi (principal trumpet of @Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Della RAI). He continued his study program attending a two-year Jazz Trumpet Master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with M° @Ruud Breuls, M° @Jarmo Hoogendijk, M° Jan Oosthof. In that conservatory he had the possibility to study and perform with international musicians such as: @Bob Mintzer, @Wycliffe Gordon, @John Clayton, @Aaron Parks, @Fay Claassen, ecc. At present he is collaborating with @Gianni Cazzola , @Massimo Faraò, @Sophia Tomelleri and he’s a steady member of the jazz group @Icefire 4tet (formed by @Alessandro Minetto, @Gledison Zabote and @Matteo Piras) with whom he has played in several festivals and prestigious venues and with which he has been on Brazilian Tournées in 2018 and 2019.
