Born and raised in Southampton, Monokey started his journey into production in 2017 but has been in and around music for well over a decade. Performing on some of the biggest stages the UK has to offer, including, Bestival and Glastonbury as a guitarist. Monokey turned to production as an escape, a way of expressing himself in a different scene, trying to establish a name for himself by using his expressive yet tranquil style. 
 Quickly becoming an Ableton maestro, Monokey tries to find inspiration from a variety of different sources in order to diversify his sound. Witnessing the rise of rap culture, he draws on inspiration from the likes of: Monte Booker, Flying Lotus, Finneas, Danger Mouse, The Kount, Madlib, Rick Rubin, Alchemist, Kenny Beats & many more. 
 Over the last three years, he has gone from knowing little about production to some major highlights including, securing collaborations with artists such as: Forbes, Bxrbarian, Badliana & Rubii. However there are some thrilling projects yet to come from Monokey.
