Biography

Kandace Duke grew up in the small town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Born on August 8, 1998, Kandace seemed to be a very special person from the start. She could feel the music early on and it was apparent in her movements. She would listen with excitement when her mother sang to her as a baby. Kandace was only 3 years of age when she sang her first solo at church. Even at that age, everyone could see she was musically inclined. As Kandace grew, she knew she had to put herself out there, if she wanted to be discovered, so she posted covers on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. She also participated in several different programs to advance her skill. Kandace was a member of her school choir (2008 - 2016) and jazz choir (2015 - 2016). She also participated in Children's Musical Theater (2012 - 2014), where she landed a lead role as Aljana in "A Little Princess". She sang in the church choir, leading several songs and had her first gig in New Orleans as a senior year in high school, holding a few thousand people. Kandace decided to pursue music fully after her freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma. She changed her major to Vocal Performance, leading her to having experiences and concerts with different bands and singing groups at UCO ACM. Once Kandace graduated, she began working on her first album, The Way I See It. With the skills of writing, harmonizing, and producing now under her belt, she is finally stepping out on her own to show the world her individual sound.
