Philadelphia-based artist and multi-instrumentalist, Melissa Menago, has been writing songs since her teenage years, with her 2nd full length album, "Echo The Optimist" out now. She is known as the lead singer, guitarist, keyboardist and main songwriter of indie-rock band, June Divided. With 3 releases and a handful of singles under their belt, June Divided was featured on Warped Tour, found radio support on Philly's Alt104.5, WXPN, and 93.3 MMR, and television appearances on their hometown's Fox29 and NBC10. They've shared the stage with artists such as Twentyone Pilots, The Pretty Reckless and Rise Against. Their latest EP "Body Wars", on Revival Recordings hit the Billboard Charts. Those moments with June Divided led Menago to her first record deal on NYC's Chesky Records. Known for their live and acoustic binaural recordings, Menago's first solo album "Little Crimes" gained her recognition as a singer-songwriter outside of the rock world. Years later, Menago was at a solo album again, only this time quietly shutting herself alone in her home studio without the external noise of labels, expectations and opinions. The result is 12 tracks of her own unique blend of indie-pop, singer-songwriter and alternative-folk. "Echo The Optimist" touches on love, loss, grief, reflection and relationships of all kinds. It's an emotional and riveting journey, much like Menago's career itself.
