Born September 4, 1993, in Irvine, California, Orange County, but currently based in Los Angeles. His journey in the music world started at the early age of 12. Captivated and drawn in by the sounds of Alycia Keys, Neyo*, and Bone Thugs N* Harmony. Melodies* with the hip-hop rap styling burned an aspiration within him to create and develop his songwriting skills. Spade Semaj is a self-taught recording artist. He learned how to play the piano and keyboards with no former training. Music became a source of instruction and inspiration as it relates to his emotional heart strings. As a songwriter he developed a mental habit of staying focused and invited inspiration when caught up in the moment, be it a raw emotion or pure life experience. The words and melody of his music are meant to stir the listener to feel and receive the songs with an open perspective, and resonate on a deeper level. His laidback mid-tempo smooth vocals infused with rap lend its sound to his Florida base Miami bounce, with an Ohio New Jersey melodic flow, intertwined with that West coast, East coast flavor. As a producer, he has a unique ability to incorporate the sound of each region and bridge them together for a cohesive funky vibe. Spade Semaj honed his skills and decided to course his own path as an independent artist. With the support and wisdom of his uncle Ray, he recently signed with RAM Management.
