Emilio Larocca, Italian guitarist and music producer, established Slow Wave Sleep in Paris in 2015, aiming to blend a sci-fi story with experimental electronic music. His debut album, L'ultimo uomo, marked a shift to vocal music with a genre-blending style, produced in Berlin in 2018. Following his return to Italy, the second album Chroma (Deluxe Edition) and its crowdfunded music video, Elogio della Follia, led to live performances. The third acoustic album Spiro nell'ecosistema, recorded with band members Gilberto, Stella, and Gabriele, featured innovative music videos before the band’s dissolution pre-pandemic. During a four-year hiatus, Emilio honed his production skills, resulting in Natura morta, the EP Points, Spiro Nell'Egosistema, and more. Slow Wave Sleep’s music, characterized by its unique blend of rock, pop and electronic music, tells stories without direct narrative links between songs. Music videos form a series with unique storylines, centered on Rèfles, a character on a mission to restore human emotions.
