Renell Shaw is an Ivor Novello Award Winning Composer. Songwriter and Music Producer. 2020 was the year that Renell gained widespread recognition and won the Ivor Novello Award for his composition ‘The Windrush Suite’. The first of a two-part collection that he has written, pays homage to his Caribbean heritage and the pioneering voices of the Windrush generation who began to arrive in England from the West Indies in 1948. As well as being a close writer and multi-instrumentalist for Rudimental, Renell has written, collaborated and toured alongside artists such as Orphy Robinson MBE, Emeli Sandé, Skepta, Anne-Marie, Nile Rodgers Speech Debelle, Nitin Sawhney CBE, Afronaut Zu, Jess Glynne, Liam Bailey and Carleen Anderson. Renell is a co-creator of the Soulful House/Afro-Electronic production duo 2fox (Spotify New Music Friday).
