California native Rachel Williams, professionally known as Calibleubird, was born and raised in Fresno, home of the “559.” Calibleubird is a Christian singer, rapper and songwriter, whose music has been described as inspiring and alternative R&B. Her musical influences include Jazmine Sullivan, Brandy, India Arie, Fred Hammond, Musiq Soulchild, and more. The fall of 2016 she graduated from college, and went on tour as a backup singer for Mick Jenkins on his “Spread Love” Tour, opened by Smino. Her solo career started that same year when she released a loosie titled “Brand New”. In 2017 she released her first single “Lunch Break.” She followed that with her debut EP Codeine Dreams. In 2018, she released two songs “Lookin For Ya” and “Fences.” Since then she has released five singles; her latest being “Love Me” featuring Chastity. “There has been a shift in my whole reason for being an artist. I want to show people it’s dope to rep God. I am all about being myself unapologetically and I want to inspire others to do the same. I want to travel the world and connect with the people whom I share some of the same stories and experiences. After all, we wouldn’t be artists without experiences.” Music has been a part of Calibleubird as long as she can remember, and she ultimately wants to use it to win souls for the kingdom of God.
