Born in Northern Italy in the early 80’s, L’Aura spends her teenage years in the US, writing songs for her first album, "Okumuki”, published in 2005. Heavily influenced by piano-based singer-songwriters such as Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, “Okumuki” rapidly gains attention. Thanks to the radio hit songs “Radio Star”, “Today” and “Irraggiungibile” the album ends up selling more than 50'000 copies. "Demian”, her second album, is published two years later. L’Aura steps out onto new territory, working with multiplatinum American/Venezuelan sound engineer Enrique Gonzalez Müller. In 2008 she collaborates with Gianluca Grignani for his song "Vuoi vedere che ti amo”. The record scores massive radio airplay, becoming a fan favorite. Two years later she releases "Sei come me”. The album includes “Eclissi del cuore”, an Italian adaptation of Bonnie Tyler's hit song "A Total Eclipse of The Heart". Recorded in a duet version with Nek, it becomes a force at Italian radio, achieving the Platinum certification. In 2017 L'Aura releases a new album named “Il contrario dell’amore”. Produced by Simone Bertolotti, her recent work focuses on 60s and 70s music. Grammy-award winner Michael Brauer ( Coldplay, Regina Spektor ) mixes the album in New York, at Electric Lady Studios. L’Aura is ready for her 2024 comeback. She just released a new song for the female-led martial arts movie “The Cage”.
