French electronica outfit Dax Riders (named after the Honda Dax ST-70 motorbike) burst into the local scene in 1994 with the release of "Faster Than a Dax." Cédric Azencoth aka Bad Ced, known for promoting the first House Party of Paris in 1991, teamed up with Olivier Ruel aka Daxman, who began playing in a glam/rock band and then turned into hip-hop. Argentine self-taught multi-instrumentalist Nicolas Berger-Vachon (born 1975) aka Erman joined them in 1999. That same year the threesome released their debut album, Dax.
