Born in Houston, Texas, Bukkweat grew up drawn to the clever wordplay of Lil' Wayne and the Pop appeal of Lil' Bow Wow. Raised in a single-parent household, he reveled in his mother’s extensive music collection and began playing drums by the age of 4. After relocating to Smyrna Beach with his mother in 1993, the multicultural Florida city served as his muse. He adopted the rap persona Bukkweat Bill (a nod to The Silence of the Lambs) and channeled horror director Rob Zombie's graphic storytelling into his work. In time, his gritty style caught the attention of A$AP Mob founder and visionary A$AP Yams who planned on signing him weeks before his untimely demise. With a sound self-described as Southern Alternative, Bukkweat Bill's hard-hitting tracks have landed him on multiple Rolling Loud lineups and appearances in Diplo and Friends' BBC Mix, XXL and The Source.
