Emotional techno. Heart-wrenching house. Melancholic pop and electronic grooves making the sweetest of love together. Somewhere in the middle of the 90’s Erik Möller, from the town of Uppsala in Sweden, became known to the world as Unai. After having produced various kinds of electronic dance music from the late 80’s, it was around the time for his name change that he found a home in the dubby and minimal school of techno. Releases on famous german labels such as Force Tracks, Raum...Musik and Sub Static followed and with that a global reputation as one of reduced techno’s finest champions. But after the debut album Rebel Swing in 2001 (nominated for a grammy in Sweden), the minimal suit became too tight for Unai. His love of disco, pop and soul had always been there in his music hiding somewhere at the back of the stage. Now it stepped forward into the limelight. This change became very apparent on 2006’s A Love Moderne – an album celebrated by everyone; from New York Times and pop kids to the most fundamental of minimal techno dj’s. The 2015 Human Empire - album saw Unai combining his childhood love of synth pop and electronic music with moody techno rhythms. His darkest and most melancholic album to date it presented glimmering pop emeralds such as Stealing Time or Alone In The House Of Lovers - Original Mix.
