Born Keamogetswe Bokaba, from a township in the heart of Pretoria, Soshanguve. NellyPride started his musical journey through writing his lyrics/bars drawing inspiration from the likes of Cassper Nyovest and AKA since they were the faces of SA hip hop at the time, this was back in 2013-2014. From then on after hearing his older brother(Gontse Bokaba) record music for the first time, he got the courage to actually put the words he wrote to songs and that's how he ended up recording his first single in the 9th grade. Fast foward years later, he has dropped even greater sounding music and was part of the biggest song to ever come out of the South of Soshanguve "Desse" by Smxshy MBN and another featured artist by the name Dope Notes which some might say was his breakout single local-township wise and in the year 2023 he dropped his first project THE NEW BEGINNINGS, where he showcased his array of lyrical style and content and now in 2024 he is gearing up to release a continuation of the previous project A YEAR AFTER THE NEW BEGINNINGS.
