Barry Whittaker-Gilbey began his career writing dance music under the name of Mara, DJing around the world and running the highly successful house music label Choo Choo Records, before moving on to writing for film, television and advertising and being a co-founder of the Energy Music label on Universal Production Music. His career has seen him producing and remixing with some of the best in the industry, with a long discography that shows a wide range of musical accomplishments. He has worked with artists as wide ranging as The Human League to acclaimed producer Brian Transeau (BT). His work spans many genres from touching on his electronic roots to neo classical influences. He has a vast range of credits in film, television and advertising.
