Bad Mantis is an inventive duo hailing from Armstrong, BC, Canada. Both Ryan Murphy and Brodie Muskett have diverse musical backgrounds, ranging from light folk to dirty blues to extreme metal and everything in between. These two comrades started playing together years ago in the form of a punk-influenced trio that was accented by heavy, bassy rhythms. Time moved on, and the pair decided to pull together and work on some of Ryan's original songs to support a local fundraising event. This led to what is now known as "BAD MANTIS". Before they even had a name, these two set out to be self-sufficient, tapping technological know-how and oddball vision to create a grungy, sleek sound that went beyond the boundaries of "just two guys".
