Ever since its foundation in 1987, Capella de Ministrers, directed by Carles Magraner, has undertaken significant investigative and musicological work in favor of the Spanish musical heritage, from medieval times to the 19th century. The ensemble has performed numerous concerts in renowned music venues in Spain and internationally, particularly in Europe, Asia, America, and Africa. Their study and recovery of early music have resulted in over 55 records. They've received multiple awards from specialized press and institutions, including the "Best Recording Production" from the Ministry of Culture and the "Importante" award from Editorial Prensa Valenciana. They've also earned various record prizes, including the 2018 and 2023 International Classical Music Awards for Best Early Music recording (ICMA). Capella de Ministrers' activities extend beyond the performing arts, collaborating with film and theater directors like Alex Rigola, Juli Leal, Vicent Genovés, Jaume Martorell, Bigas Luna, choreographer Santiago Sempere, and musicians from diverse disciplines, such as Joan Enric Lluna and Miguel Marín. Their rendition of "El Cant de la Sibil·la" was featured in Bigas Luna's film, "Son de Mar." In 2003, Capella de Ministrers participated in Luna's adaptation of Valle-Inclan's "Comedias Bárbaras" for the closing performance of the Valencia Biennial.
